A deontology that surpasses GDPR
Today, Bisnode plays by the GDPR rules. Obviously. But we decided to go one step beyond. We don’t limit ourselves to the strict application of what GDPR requires. As we are in the middle of the dialogue between consumers and brands, we always have consumer’s interests in mind while serving our clients. This is why we decided to evangelize towards consumers about our own business. For this purpose, we created a fully dedicated website: www.bisnodeandyou.be. We wanted to be as transparent and pedagogic as possible when explaining what we do with personal data of consumers. This our way to show that we will always process their data with much care and respect. In this sense, Bisnode’s deontology goes beyond the requirements of GDPR.
In the same vein, and with the same care for consumers, Bisnode also had to completely adapt its entire data solution offering to meet GDPR requirements.
“The good news for our clients is that all our data solutions remain highly effective and in line with Bisnode’s traditional standards of quality.”
Our referential databases: Continuity in changing times
Our referential databases – both B2C and B2B - are essential in the building of our solutions: they enable us to serve our clients with “state of the art” data solutions for data quality, targeting and analysis. Most of these solutions include a wide range of variables and typologies. For each one of them, we carefully scanned and verified their GDPR compliancy. Whenever the outcome proved negative, we looked for alternatives in order to keep our solutions not only in line with GDPR, but also in line with our customer’s expectations. As a result of this long-term job, we completely redesigned most of our solutions. The only thing that didn’t change is the highest standard of quality that Bisnode impose to itself.
Safeguarding segmentation at street level
In this context, we have also reviewed the Bisnode ‘Mosaic Typology’, which allows segmentation on street and neighborhood level all over Belgium. We had to recalculate our Mosaic solution to make it fully GDPR compliant. The good news is our clients can continue to benefit from the same segmentation solution. But the back-end processing, which enables this solution, has been entirely adapted to be in line with GDPR requirements.
GDPR compliant data hosting for clients
Bisnode also offers data hosting solutions for its clients. All these data sets and processing procedures have been checked and made fully GDPR compliant. Next to hosting, Bisnode also offers consultancy and assistance to clients to bring their data applications up to GDPR speed.
Securing each channels where we perform campaigns
One of Bisnode main USP’s rely in our wide omni-channel portfolio: we offer the possibility to our clients to reach new consumers on almost every possible channels: email, telemarketing, television, social networks, etc. For each one of these channels, we had to make sure not only that Bisnode could continue performing campaigns in respect with personal data, but also that all these channels fulfilled their obligations towards GDPR.
