Your main responsibilities:
Our local sales organisation is based in Anderlecht and divided into three commercial teams. You will take full ownership of one of them and lead your team of Key Account Managers in order to develop and grow the company’s customer portfolio to increase revenue margins. You will be reporting directly to the Sales Director.
Your primary responsibility is to lead and direct your team of Key Account Managers in order to meet or exceed sales revenue, sales profitability and budgetary objectives. The role involves supporting your team to achieve the best possible result while still managing key accounts yourself.
You will be coaching your team on gaining insights and identifying needs at customers, of which they aren’t even aware yet. You execute the go-to-market and operational strategies to achieve business objectives, in close cooperation with your sales director and your colleagues sales managers. You pass on your rich experience to your team and challenge them on excelling in pipeline management, sales funnel expertise, consultative and strategic selling, establishing and presenting business cases, price negotiations and closing successful deals.
You work to continuously improve the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhance productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction. You monitor the department's key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue vs. plan, contact rate, quote closure rate and gross profit percentage, while anticipating and reacting quickly to trends and changes in performance. In collaboration with other senior managers you will be developing a successful go to market strategy for our solutions. As an ambassador of change you help your team in handling changes in a positive and constructive way.
You have a master degree in a business or economics related field, with 7 to 10 years of experience in a sales role and at least four years of experience in a people management role. You have several years’ proven successful experience of sales in integrated BtB services to large companies and organizations. You have experience in working both on developing existing accounts and in breaking new ground and finding new customers.
You are used to long and complex sales cycles and you stay motivated throughout the cycle. Networking gives you energy. You are an ambitious entrepreneur with commercial instinct.
You are familiar with discussions with C-level executives. You demonstrate your drive and passion every day and are used to developing and building long-term relationships;
You demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and have a genuine interest in leading and developing your account managers, you help them to grow. You are proactive, results-oriented and able to take a long-term approach.
You have experience in selling data solutions or integrated IT solutions in Dutch, French and English
You lead by example and always think in terms of solutions, you are very creative and innovative and don’t hesitate to take initiative and actively develop your team members to follow your example.
